I don’t know about you, but I waste an unhealthy amount of time clicking around the internet every day. From Yahoo Sports to Facebook, I'm an addict.
Youtube is without a doubt one of the most efficient clock-accelerators on the web. There are so many videos to choose from! Cool videos, funny videos, music videos, scary videos, weird videos, stupid videos, smart videos, random videos… the list goes on forever. I conducted a formal interview to find out exactly how many videos there are on Youtube.
Adam: So, how many videos does Youtube actually have?
Confidential: A fuckload.
That being said, which is the greatest Youtube video of them all? Of the millions and millions of potentially hilarious or jaw-dropping video clips, which one is worthy of the TCM crown of world’s greatest? If based solely on views, Avril Lavigne’s “Girlfriend” music video is the greatest, cruising at 107,339,556 hits. Ew. Unfortunately for Avril, it takes more than just views to win this coveted title. The world’s greatest Youtube video needs all of the following essential video components: cinematic value, humor, shock, hardship, emotion, transition, beauty, love, and popularity. A video without each of these qualities could never hope to even be in the running for TCM’s greatest Youtube clip.
I will admit this was not an easy decision. After watching every single video on Youtube, twice, I narrowed it down to three finalists. Following much deliberation, I finally settled in on a clear-cut winner. I can say that the clip below is indeed the best that Youtube has to offer. Watch and enjoy TCM’s greatest Youtube video.
