The greatest boxer of all time could pummel people with more than his punches. He could knock them all dead with his words.
How can a man whose robe dawned his nickname, "The Lip," not be considered the world’s greatest smack-talker? Ladies and gentlemen, I am referring to the one and only Muhammad Ali. The man famous for the rope-a-dope and the "Rumble in the Jungle." He is more than the greatest boxer who ever lived, or inspirational figure for millions in the 70's. He could out talk anybody that stepped into the ring with him. So "getcha your popcorn ready" Terrell Owens, and better make a new sign Mr. Chad "Ocho Cinco" because you are both about to get schooled Ali style.

While Ali seemed like a man of peace when he served jail time for refusing to go into the Vietnam War, he probably instigated more fights than anyone at pre-match weigh ins. Before a match with Joe Frazier he burst into the room filled with press yelling at the top of his lungs, "SHOW ME THAT BIG UGLY BLACK BEAR." Every step towards the stage he got louder and louder.

And he didn’t even come close to backing down from Frazier. He stepped up on the stage and got right in his face. Yeah TO and Ocho, unlike you two he could always back it up to. No one these days comes close to Ali. Or at least no one can produce like he could. When Chad Johnson had his list of corners in his locker he would be facing each week, he beat some of them, but didn't dominate all of them.

During the playoffs Seattle Seahawk quarterback Matt Hasselbeck said, "We’re gonna take the ball, and we’re gonna score," before overtime against the Green Bay Packers. Turns out Hasselbeck is a rookie at trash talking. I could’ve got this idea from two things: it could’ve been from the interception he threw on the first overtime drive (which was returned for a touchdown), or the fact he has never opened his mouth again.

The fact is, only one man could walk around howling, "I’M THE GREATEST THAT EVER LIVED." And then go into the ring every single time and prove it. And that is what makes Muhammad Ali the worlds greatest trash talker.
