I’m sick of liberals and Barack Obama. I’m sick of how he and his campaign will never talk about the shady characters with whom he has personal relationships, and how the liberal media refuses to bring up the names of William Ayers or Rev. Jeremiah Wright.
I’m sick of the phrase “the past 8 years” and how Obama never acknowledges his ties with ACORN (I’ll get into this later), or how he was the 2nd highest recipient of campaign contributions from Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac. I’m sick of the fact that Katie Couric can do an interview asking Sarah Palin tough questions (I admit she didn’t sound that great), but never ask Barack Obama or Joe Biden any of the same difficult questions. Now, based on two interviews, liberals are talking about how “stupid” Sarah Palin is, and how they hate her. Seriously? I thought liberals were all about love. I’m not sure how anyone could ever criticize a woman who defeated the oil industry in the richest oil-reserve state in the entire country. That there, not to mention the numerous times when she has taken on her own party and cut spending, is more than Barack Obama has ever accomplished. As Glenn Beck said, if Sarah Palin were from any other political party, there would already be a movie about her great accomplishments. Of course, maybe the Democrats don’t want to acknowledge her 80 percent approval rating, versus the 10 percent approval rating of the U.S. Congress, which is controlled by the Democrats. Oh, and it’s the Democrats who are accusing John McCain of being desperate with his new attack ads against Obama. The thing is, these attack ads against Obama are completely legitimate. He does have ties with radical liberals, including self-confessed terrorist William Ayers and he did attend the church where Rev. Jeremiah Wright gave his racist, America-hating sermons. Of course, I’m not sure how proud I would be to have attended a church where the sermons included lines like “Not God bless America, God damn America!”. As for his relationship with William Ayers, there’s no possible way that anyone would not know the history of a man, whose house Obama went to, to kick off his political career when running for office in Illinois. Ayers is the terrorist who bombed the Pentagon and the US Capitol in the early 1970’s, as he was part of the Weather Underground radical terrorist group. Obama’s campaign only accuses McCain of making this issue into a political smear because they know that Obama has a real relationship with Ayers. If it wasn’t true, they would’ve come out by now and actually explained Obama’s relationship with Ayers, not just say that “they aren’t close friends.” Without specifics, I’m not buying it. The worst issue of all that Obama’s getting away with is the fact that he is actually one of the main contributors to our current economic crisis. I’m going to puke if he blames the crisis on McCain’s and Republicans’ concepts of deregulation one more time. Of course, that’s inevitable because he handle taking any of the blame for it and wants to keep tricking the American people. McCain actually wanted to pass legislation in 2005 to regulate Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac, but the Democrats were outraged that he and other Republicans would even think that the bank was in any kind of trouble. However, this was only because some Democrats were receiving money from Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac to ignore the bank’s dishonest accounting principles, along with the high-risk loans they were taking. That’s right, it was Democrats calling for deregulation. As far as Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) goes, the organization, which forces banks to give out sub-prime loans to families who can’t afford to pay them back, is a supporter of Obama. Let’s think about this. Giving out sub-prime loans, even though the families can’t pay them back. This is a huge factor in the economic meltdown, fueled by the collapse of the housing market. But the Democrats and liberal media keep blaming this on “the failed economic policies of the past 8 years.” Oh, really? Why haven’t the Democrats done anything about this while they’ve had control of Congress? All of this is what goes through my mind whenever I see an “Obama/Biden ‘08” sign driving through Kirkwood, or when my professors praise Obama or ridicule Palin during class. However, as long as he keeps tricking Americans into thinking that his version of “change”(I’m sick of that word, too) is better than the past 8 years, he’ll have the lead and most likely win the presidential election. So, as you go into the voting booth on Nov. 4, ask yourself if you really want a truth-evading radical as your president. I sure don’t. Resist The Hype. McCain/Palin ‘08 |
