Real Stuff

Being a conservative on a liberal campus, I was very depressed on election night. As the results came in, I was left in complete shock. Not because Barack Obama was elected president, but rather because most Michigan voters were too stupid to do anything other than vote straight D’s. Of course Obama was going to win by a landslide in Michigan, but I didn’t expect someone like Gary Peters who was just funneled money from the DNC to beat a long-time incumbent in Joe Knollenberg. I didn’t expect a liberal judge who had so little experience that not even the notoriously liberal Detroit Free Press could endorse her to take down the Michigan Supreme Court Chief Justice, Cliff Taylor. I know that the DNC spread ridiculous lies in advertisements about him, but I expected people to be better than to just accept everything they hear on television. I guess I just expected a bit too much.

However, in all this bad there is some good. The democrats did not reach sixty in the house that they needed to obtain a filibuster-proof congress. This means that most of Obama’s far liberal proposals should get blocked. On top of that, Al Franken was probably not elected (he pulled an Al Gore recount though). If he had got elected, I would have considered lighting Minnesota on fire. But he didn’t. Good job Minnesota, you get to live for another day. And then there’s Obama. As much as I disagree with the man about almost every policy, he is a good public speaker and will bring other nations to like us more because of his superstar appeal. Things could most certainly be worse. As much as I dislike Obama, Hillary Clinton would be infinitely worse. So as bad as things may get, just be glad that Hillary is not our president. In my mind, until he enacts some ridiculous liberal policy, Obama will be a good president. And to all you who are pissed because Obama got elected, just remember that we don’t have Hillary in the White House.

Oh yea. Sorry. That was a typo. It is supposed to be the senate like you
said. It was late when I wrote this.
hmmm

Geoff, I feel your pain, but I have to call you on something that Glaser would
be absolutly livid with: 60 in the SENATE not the House. Besides that, keep your
pimp hand strong (your right hand) and keep churning out articles for the good
guys. Much love ya'll.
